The deal.

Short version: I build your site, you pay, you own it. If I screw up, you tell me. If I can't fix it, you get your money back. The longer version is below in plain English.

Terms of service

What you're buying
  • A one-time website build at the tier you pick ($200 / $400 / $800).
  • A required monthly retainer ($39.99 / $69.99 / $129.99) for hosting, security, and the per-week change cap for your tier.
  • A preview before you pay. The preview is free; the build fee is only owed if you say "ship it."
What I promise
  • Preview within 24 hours of your request, or I email you to explain why not.
  • Site live on your domain within 2 to 4 days of you paying.
  • Weekly updates per your retainer tier (Standard: 2/week, Plus: 10/week, Pro: 25/week). I'll tell you when you're at the cap.
  • Uptime monitoring + SSL + security patches as long as the retainer is active.
  • One human (me, Ren) responds to your emails personally within 24 hours, business days.
Who owns the site
  • You own it outright the moment your build fee clears. The code, the copy, the design — yours.
  • If you ever cancel the retainer, I'll export your site as a static bundle you can host anywhere. No ransom, no "we'll release it for an additional fee."
  • I retain the right to mention your business in a portfolio context (name, link, one screenshot). Tell me at any time if you don't want that and I'll pull it.
Refunds
  • 14-day satisfaction window: if I can't fix what's wrong within 14 days of go-live, you get a full refund of the build fee. Cancel the retainer and we both move on.
  • Reel-for-$50 deal: after launch, submit a 30 to 90 second selfie-cam clip about your new site on the upload page and Stripe refunds $50 to your original card. Any build tier. One per build. Submit a clip →
  • Retainer: billed monthly, no long-term commitment. Pause or cancel any time. No refunds on a month already paid for unless something I did caused you a real problem — in that case, just email me.
  • How refunds happen: back to the original card via Stripe. Usually 5 to 10 business days to clear at your bank.
What I won't do
  • Build sites for businesses I think are scams or that promote hate.
  • Use AI to fake reviews, fake testimonials, or fake "as seen in" badges on your site.
  • Add tracking pixels, ad scripts, or anything that monetizes your visitors without your written sign-off.
  • Sell, share, or "anonymize and resell" any of your data.
What I need from you
  • You own the content you give me (photos, copy, logo). If a photographer or designer made it, you have the right to use it.
  • Pay the build fee within 7 days of approving the preview, or the preview link expires.
  • Keep the retainer paid if you want the site to stay live, secure, and updated. If a retainer payment fails I'll email you twice; if it's still unpaid after 14 days I'll pause the site.
  • Tell me when something's wrong. I can't fix what I don't know about.
Limits
  • The site comes "as is." I'll make it work on modern browsers and mobile, but I can't guarantee compatibility with very old browsers (IE, ancient Android).
  • I'm not responsible for outages caused by Cloudflare, Stripe, your domain registrar, or the wider internet. I'll work with you to get back online fast when they happen.
  • The build fee is the maximum amount I'll ever owe you in a refund. I'm one person, not a corporation with a war chest. Be reasonable.

Last updated: 2026-06-08. Changes get a new "last updated" date and a heads-up email to active clients.
